Title: The Poor Prince's Smile

Summary: The world is full of surprises and fate sometime play with people. Junno is a poor boy with nothing and yet he manages to smile everyday even when life comes to its worst. Ueda is from a wealthy family, who can have anything he ever dream of and yet he had lost his own smile; his happiness to his status. Soon fate will let these two meet, but would they believe they were meant to be? Is there such a thing as fate, or destiny? Only those who truly believe will know, because it brought them together.
A.N: oh! ^_^ so people really do read my A.N ^_^ I thought I was talking to myself for a while there, hehe as always thank you for the comment, so here’s chapter 6! -_-; sorry if this part is kinda dumb… I just wrote it quickly, but Koki do meet Maru! YEAH! FINALLY! ^_^ took me long enough!

The entrance automatically opened by itself, placed in the center of the enormous white lobby was a huge golden fountain and two golden cupids stood in the middle of it, holding buckets where the water flow through. Golden elevators stood on one far side and on the other was a gorgeous view to the outside garden. The most beautiful flowers could be found and each corners. Couches and sofas in the lobby sat by high-class people, were made from golden thread.
But of course this beauty wasn’t at all notice, because everybody had their attention to the front desk, where Koki again made an uproar.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN’T TELL ME THE ADDRESS!?” Koki yelled as the woman covered her ears.
“Sir, we can’t give out personal information , it is against violation.” the woman answered as quickly as possible and yet in an unafraid way.
“Look here lady, I’m only here to get this Ueda’s address and if you’ll nicely give it to me, I’ll nicely leave…” Koki said as he gave out a chilling smile, suddenly he felt both of his arms being pulled and before he knew it he was lifted off the ground. He looked at both sides to see that two huge guards were kicking him out. He tries to struggle free, but they were too strong, before he knew it, he was thrown roughly to the ground.
The woman, who Koki was asking a little while ago, stood behind the two guard as they stood over Koki, “Please come again when you’re worthy of this place, but for now, please go away or we’ll be force to call the police.” she said in a good yet arrogant manner.
Koki clenched his fist, as he watched them go back inside, “SHIT!” he yelled angrily as he punched the ground.
“Okay… I need to calm down… Junno needs me…” Koki told himself as he took a deep breath in and out.
Suddenly, awaiting the right moment, a waiter of the hotel happens to walk by and perfectly, Koki force him aside.
“Now… be a good boy and tell me your little boss’s address, hmm?“ asked Koki, holding the waiter in the collar, and this was how Koki got himself Ueda’s address.
But what Koki didn’t know was that during the time he was trying to get Ueda’s address, Junno been trying to call him all evening.
Junno sighed and hung up the phone, this was his fifteenth attempt on calling Koki, but unfortunately Koki never answered. He sighed again as he laid down on the comfy well made bed, everybody in the house was already asleep except Junno.
He wasn’t use to the bed so he lay awake in the darken huge room that he loved until that very moment. Since he wasn’t use to the bed or the huge room, he was rather uncomfortable and the massive spaces of the dim room kinda scare him.
Suddenly he heard a creak of the floor, which made him quickly sat up in bed and turn on the light of the lamp. The room was empty, the only thing there was Junno and his cast shadow. He took another breath and turned off the light, just to hear another creak, making him switched the lamp on again.
“Okay… Junno… calm down… there’s nothing there, just your imagination….” he repeated in his head, he decide to keep the light on and try to sleep, but of course the bed was the other problem, remembering that his futon was also put in the closet, he finally decided what to do…

“hmm… Jin, come back to bed…” muttered Kame as he forced himself to open his eyes, felting that Jin wasn’t by his side. Jin stood at the doorway in his heart shape pajamas and looked upon the sleepy Kame as Kame slowly sat up.
“It’s cold, Kamenashi-kun. Go back to sleep, now.” Jin said as he walked over and pulled the blanket over Kame.
“Hmm… and what about you? Where are you going?” whined Kame as he peeked through the blanket at Jin.
“Back to my room, of course. I’m not suppose to sleep here you know, you only told me to stay here until you fall asleep.” whisper Jin as he pulled the blanket up to cover Kame’s eyes and walked away. Quickly Kame crawled under the blanket and emerged hugging Jin by the waist with both hands.
“But I’m not asleep yet…” Kame complained.
Jin sighed and manage to turn around, “Well you were asleep, see you’re still tire, now go back to sleep.” he said as he pulled away from Kame’s grip.
Kame suddenly sat back in bed and gave out a mad yet sad kid-ish face. Jin couldn’t help giggling at Kame’s facial expression.
Kame suddenly smiled, “Ah! Now there’s the Akanashi-kun I know and love,” he said as he stood on his knee and kissed Jin. Jin suddenly blushed, Kame couldn’t help but tackle down the flushed Jin.
“H-hey…!” Jin yelled quietly.
“You’re just so damn kawaii!” Kame said as he couldn’t help hugging Jin closer to him, and before they both knew it, they fell asleep snuggling close to each other.
The sunlight shone through the large windows of a certain huge yet plain room. The room was barely empty. Well actually there seem to be nothing there at all except for a computer on the far west corner and a huge bed with a flat screen TV. And there slept the cozy Nakamaru, Maru love to sleep until noon, but it was hardly noon when he heard the voice of his lovely cousin.
“Maru! How many time have I told you to do something about this room? It’s so plain, MARU!? ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING?!” yelled Yui as she pushed Maru to wake up.
“Hmm?…Yeah, I’m listening.” yawned Maru as he sat up and glance at the clock, it was only nine.
“Well as I was saying, you should let me design your room for you, how about it? I’ll make it look like a ball room.” Yui said as she sat on the bed next to Maru.
“Hm?… but Yui, I like it like this…” mumbled Maru as he forced his eyes to open, “Wait a minute… why are you here so early in the morning?” he asked.
Yui suddenly stood up, “MARU! That’s so rude! I am your lovely little cousin and I can’t even visit my most favorite cousin in the world!” she shrieks.
“Okay, what do you want?” Maru said as he rubbed his eardrums, for he knew his cousin too well ,whenever she call him her lovely cousin, she always want something in return.
“You are so rude, why do you think I want anything?” pounded Yui only to see Maru gave out a smirk, she suddenly smile, “But while we on the subject… uh, you see, Ueda haven’t been coming to school lately and I was getting worry so I was wondering…”
“Yeah, we’ll go visit him, okay?” mumbled Maru, Yui suddenly laughed and jumped to hug Maru.
“Maru! You do know you’re my favorite cousin, right?! Okay! I’ll go downstairs and wait, change quickly okay!” giggled Yui as she ran across the room toward the door, but as she ran, Maru noticed her back shoulder… the burn mark. He gave out a sigh and decides to change.

“JUNNO! DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!? YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO BE AWAKE AN HOUR AGO!!” yelled Jin as he pounded the door, he then took out his keys and opened it, but only to see an empty bed. His eyes suddenly wide open, he ran to the bathroom to see if Junno was in there, but it was also empty, he ran to the balcony and again no Junno.
“Where did he go? Did he leave?” thought Jin as he went to check if Junno brought his stuff with him, but as he opened the closet, he noticed that the clothes were still on the hangers, that was when he looked down to see that other then the luggage on the ground, Junno also slept.
Jin gave out a sigh in relief, he wasn’t sure what Ueda would do if he found out that Junno was gone. Jin wasn’t sure why but, when Ueda first brought Junno to the mansion, Ueda spent the first night by Junno’s side. Of course, no one knew about this except Jin because that night Jin came to check on the boy just to see Ueda by his side. At the moment Ueda’s atmosphere seemed so pleasant, something Jin never felt before. Jin gave out a smile at the sight of Junno then he quickly kicked him.
“Huh? What!?” yelled Junno as he quickly sat up.
“WHAT KINDA IDIOT IS GIVEN A BIG ROOM JUST SO THEY CAN SLEEP IN THE CLOSET?!” yelled Jin.
“Uh… you see I couldn’t sleep last night so I-” but before Junno could finish Jin yelled, “No time to explain! You need to get up and get ready to greet Ueda!”
“Huh? What? He need people to greet him too?” said Junno just to have Jin pull him up.
“GET UP!” Jin yelled.
When Junno and Jin finally arrived outside of Ueda’s room, the other maids and Kame already stood in the hall in two perfect lines. Jin made Junno stand in line too, then he walked toward Ueda’s room and knocked.
“Young master Ueda, breakfast is ready.” he said, but there was no answer.
“Pssh, do we do this every morning?” whispered Junno to one of the maid.
“Yes, sometime he doesn’t even come out, but we most stand here for at least 5 minute.” she reply.
“FIVE MINUTE!?” yelled Junno just to have everybody look at him, Jin glared at him, he gave out an innocent smile and bowed numerous apologies.
Suddenly the master’s door opened, and everyone stood quiet, Junno looked around and wondered what was going on.
Jin bowed, “Good morning young master!” he said, as Ueda walked through the two perfect lines, everybody bowed at the same time except Junno, he wasn’t sure what was going on, he try to follow the maid next to him, but he was rather slow, when everybody stood straight again he was still bowing. That was when he felt a cast shadow upon him. He looked up to see Ueda standing before him and Kame standing behind Ueda.
Junno suddenly stood up and looked at Ueda, “Uh…um…GOOD MORNING UEDA!” Junno yelled quickly as he gave out a smile and patted Ueda‘s head.
Jin looked away in embarrassment, Kame giggled, and all the maid stood eyes wide open. Junno just called the young master by name and PATTED HIS HEAD!?
Junno noticed the stares, “OH! I MEAN GOOD MORNING YOUNG MASTER!!” he yelled as he again patted Ueda’s head, he finally notice what his hand was doing and pulled away. “I’M SORRY!” Ueda stared then walked away, continuing down the hall where the guards stood and greeted him. Everybody watched until Ueda and Kame were down the stairs, which was when they all ran to Junno.
“Oh my god! What guts!” squealed some maids, “You’re lucky he didn’t fire you on the spot!”
“JUNNO!” Jin yelled at he ran to slapped Junno’s head, “What’s is in that little brain of yours!? Who in their right mind would pat the young master!? The only person I ever saw pat him was my grandma and he was 13 then! I bet he‘s going to blame me! Why do you have to come and ruin my name!”
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking, he just stopped in front of me and I got nervous and-” but before Junno could finish, Jin sighed, “It’s alright. He didn’t say anything so it’s okay… now we have to serve breakfast! Stop standing here!
Breakfast was served and Junno again mess up throughout breakfast, spilling the milk, dropping the food, but somehow both Jin and Kame saw amusement in Ueda’s eyes.

“Finally! We’re here!” said Yui as she got out of Maru’s car, “Come on Maru!” but at that moment Maru noticed something.
“Yui, you go ahead…” he said as he also got out of the car. Yui glanced at him then shrugged, “Okay!” she said as she ran toward the gate and rung the doorbell.
Maru stood looking at the direction of the Ueda’s east fence, was it his imagination or was the bushes and branches over there moving? There was no wind and the others trees weren’t moving so why did that certain area of bushes move? He wondered as he walked over, his eyes suddenly widen. It was a person! A bugler, maybe! The person was trying to climb over the Ueda’s fence.
Maru quickly reacted by looking for any objects he could find and throwing it at the person.
Koki felt something hit his head and suddenly turn to see a guy dressed in a white-collar shirt and jeans , “WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!?” yelled Koki.
“YOU! You’re the bugler!” yelled Maru as he threw more stuff at Koki.
“HEY! HEY! Who’s the bugler!? Why, if I wasn’t up here, I’ll-” but before he could yell another word, Maru threw a rock that hit Koki’s head, which made him lose his balance causing him to fall. Even though Maru had thrown the rock, he was also worry about the guy. He quickly ran over, “A-are you okay?” he asked.
“Do I look okay!? Why do you give a damn? You accuse me of being a bugler!” yelled Koki as he tries to stand up. Maru quickly ran over to help him, just to be push aside.
“I don’t need your help!” yelled Koki as he manages to stand up.
“I-if you wasn’t a bugler, what were you doing climbing the Ueda’s gate?” said Maru, finally getting a good view of Koki’s face.
“Tsk! That’s none of your business!” yelled Koki.
“uh… if you tell me, maybe I can help.” said Maru as he walked closer to Koki.
“Get away from me! I don’t need your help! What do you know!?” he yelled.
“I-I’m Ueda’s childhood friend… so I know him pretty well… so-” but before he could finish Koki grabbed him by the collar, “You’re telling me that this Ueda guy is just the same age as you!?” he yelled.
“uh… yeah… my name is Yuichi Nakamaru by the way… you can call me Maru ” said Maru with a nervous smile. Koki had thought that maybe the Ueda guy was an old perverted guy or something.
“Then, do you know a Junno?” asked Koki calming down, not wanting to introduce himself.
“A Junno?…”
“Junnosuke Taguchi… do you know him? Does he live here?” asked Koki.
Maru shook his head, he haven’t visit Ueda for a while so he didn’t know that Junno had became a maid in the house, “No… I never heard that name.” he said, suddenly before Maru’s eyes, Koki’s grip on his collar, loosen until he finally let go. Koki looked away, “then where could he be?” Koki whispered almost not heard by Maru.
“Are you looking for someone?” asked Maru.
“WHAT DO YOU CARE!?” yelled Koki getting piss at this nosy guy.
“Maybe I can help.”
“HELP!? HELP ME BY GETTING OUTTA MY FACE!!” yelled Koki piss off.
Maru was at first shock with Koki’s outburst but then he also felt his blood boiling, he was trying to be nice just to get yell at? He suddenly, without realizing it, pulled Koki by the sleeve.
Koki turned and was about to yelled just to have Maru’s face up against his, “I told you, I can help. I have connection and if you don’t accept it, you will regret it. You will never find Junno without me” Maru whispered in a chilling voice, Koki quickly pull away. This was the first time he ever experience something like this.
“Fine then….” he mumbled looking away, Maru suddenly smiled and that was when Koki finally introduce himself and told Maru the whole story.
“Hmm… so you’re saying that you thought maybe this Ueda was the one that have your friend Junno? Prostitution? Tsk! Hahaha, Ueda is so naïve, I can never imagine him like that!” laughed Maru.
“Well, how should I know!” yelled Koki feeling embarrass for thinking that way.
“Tell you what. I’ll try to find the real Ueda that ‘bought’ Junno, okay? Give me your cell phone number so that I can contact you if something come up, ” said Maru, suddenly Koki’s face lighten up, which made Maru jumped.
“Okay! You better!” yelled Koki as he quickly search his back pocket, only to see that his cell phone was crushed from his fall. “Uh…”
“HERE!” Maru suddenly said giving his own cell phone to Koki.
“Huh?”
“It was my fault your cell phone is broken… so you can have mine.” said Maru, Koki glanced at the cell phone.
“I can’t accept that! That’s a new brand!” yelled Koki, suddenly Maru grabbed Koki’s hand and placed the cell phone in his hand.
“I can always buy a new one, you can have this one so that I can contact you if something come up.” he said, Koki didn’t want to accept it, but it was the only way he could find Junno, he looked away and held on to the cell phone.
Maru’s smiled, “Don’t worry, we’ll find him.” he said, Koki suddenly, unexpectedly bowed. “Huh?”
“Thank you! Thank you!” yelled Koki, he could feel the tears in his eyes, he was so happy, Junno was going to be found, he was going to be okay.
Maru smiled and was about to pat Koki, but Koki suddenly stood up and started running, Koki hated crying, especially to a guy he didn’t even know! “JUST REMEMBER TO CALL ME!!!” he yelled not looking back, Maru couldn’t help but feel a little bit jealous of Junno , no one had ever cry for him and somehow he wanted Koki to. What was this beating in his heart?

When Junno and Jin finally arrived outside of Ueda’s room, the other maids and Kame already stood in the hall in two perfect lines. Jin made Junno stand in line too, then he walked toward Ueda’s room and knocked.
“Young master Ueda, breakfast is ready.” he said, but there was no answer.
“Pssh, do we do this every morning?” whispered Junno to one of the maid.
“Yes, sometime he doesn’t even come out, but we most stand here for at least 5 minute.” she reply.
“FIVE MINUTE!?” yelled Junno just to have everybody look at him, Jin glared at him, he gave out an innocent smile and bowed numerous apologies.
Suddenly the master’s door opened, and everyone stood quiet, Junno looked around and wondered what was going on.
Jin bowed, “Good morning young master!” he said, as Ueda walked through the two perfect lines, everybody bowed at the same time except Junno, he wasn’t sure what was going on, he try to follow the maid next to him, but he was rather slow, when everybody stood straight again he was still bowing. That was when he felt a cast shadow upon him. He looked up to see Ueda standing before him and Kame standing behind Ueda.
Junno suddenly stood up and looked at Ueda, “Uh…um…GOOD MORNING UEDA!” Junno yelled quickly as he gave out a smile and patted Ueda‘s head.
Jin looked away in embarrassment, Kame giggled, and all the maid stood eyes wide open. Junno just called the young master by name and PATTED HIS HEAD!?
Junno noticed the stares, “OH! I MEAN GOOD MORNING YOUNG MASTER!!” he yelled as he again patted Ueda’s head, he finally notice what his hand was doing and pulled away. “I’M SORRY!” Ueda stared then walked away, continuing down the hall where the guards stood and greeted him. Everybody watched until Ueda and Kame were down the stairs, which was when they all ran to Junno.
“Oh my god! What guts!” squealed some maids, “You’re lucky he didn’t fire you on the spot!”
“JUNNO!” Jin yelled at he ran to slapped Junno’s head, “What’s is in that little brain of yours!? Who in their right mind would pat the young master!? The only person I ever saw pat him was my grandma and he was 13 then! I bet he‘s going to blame me! Why do you have to come and ruin my name!”
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking, he just stopped in front of me and I got nervous and-” but before Junno could finish, Jin sighed, “It’s alright. He didn’t say anything so it’s okay… now we have to serve breakfast! Stop standing here!
Breakfast was served and Junno again mess up throughout breakfast, spilling the milk, dropping the food, but somehow both Jin and Kame saw amusement in Ueda’s eyes.

“Finally! We’re here!” said Yui as she got out of Maru’s car, “Come on Maru!” but at that moment Maru noticed something.
“Yui, you go ahead…” he said as he also got out of the car. Yui glanced at him then shrugged, “Okay!” she said as she ran toward the gate and rung the doorbell.
Maru stood looking at the direction of the Ueda’s east fence, was it his imagination or was the bushes and branches over there moving? There was no wind and the others trees weren’t moving so why did that certain area of bushes move? He wondered as he walked over, his eyes suddenly widen. It was a person! A bugler, maybe! The person was trying to climb over the Ueda’s fence.
Maru quickly reacted by looking for any objects he could find and throwing it at the person.
Koki felt something hit his head and suddenly turn to see a guy dressed in a white-collar shirt and jeans , “WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!?” yelled Koki.
“YOU! You’re the bugler!” yelled Maru as he threw more stuff at Koki.
“HEY! HEY! Who’s the bugler!? Why, if I wasn’t up here, I’ll-” but before he could yell another word, Maru threw a rock that hit Koki’s head, which made him lose his balance causing him to fall. Even though Maru had thrown the rock, he was also worry about the guy. He quickly ran over, “A-are you okay?” he asked.
“Do I look okay!? Why do you give a damn? You accuse me of being a bugler!” yelled Koki as he tries to stand up. Maru quickly ran over to help him, just to be push aside.
“I don’t need your help!” yelled Koki as he manages to stand up.
“I-if you wasn’t a bugler, what were you doing climbing the Ueda’s gate?” said Maru, finally getting a good view of Koki’s face.
“Tsk! That’s none of your business!” yelled Koki.
“uh… if you tell me, maybe I can help.” said Maru as he walked closer to Koki.
“Get away from me! I don’t need your help! What do you know!?” he yelled.
“I-I’m Ueda’s childhood friend… so I know him pretty well… so-” but before he could finish Koki grabbed him by the collar, “You’re telling me that this Ueda guy is just the same age as you!?” he yelled.
“uh… yeah… my name is Yuichi Nakamaru by the way… you can call me Maru ” said Maru with a nervous smile. Koki had thought that maybe the Ueda guy was an old perverted guy or something.
“Then, do you know a Junno?” asked Koki calming down, not wanting to introduce himself.
“A Junno?…”
“Junnosuke Taguchi… do you know him? Does he live here?” asked Koki.
Maru shook his head, he haven’t visit Ueda for a while so he didn’t know that Junno had became a maid in the house, “No… I never heard that name.” he said, suddenly before Maru’s eyes, Koki’s grip on his collar, loosen until he finally let go. Koki looked away, “then where could he be?” Koki whispered almost not heard by Maru.
“Are you looking for someone?” asked Maru.
“WHAT DO YOU CARE!?” yelled Koki getting piss at this nosy guy.
“Maybe I can help.”
“HELP!? HELP ME BY GETTING OUTTA MY FACE!!” yelled Koki piss off.
Maru was at first shock with Koki’s outburst but then he also felt his blood boiling, he was trying to be nice just to get yell at? He suddenly, without realizing it, pulled Koki by the sleeve.
Koki turned and was about to yelled just to have Maru’s face up against his, “I told you, I can help. I have connection and if you don’t accept it, you will regret it. You will never find Junno without me” Maru whispered in a chilling voice, Koki quickly pull away. This was the first time he ever experience something like this.
“Fine then….” he mumbled looking away, Maru suddenly smiled and that was when Koki finally introduce himself and told Maru the whole story.
“Hmm… so you’re saying that you thought maybe this Ueda was the one that have your friend Junno? Prostitution? Tsk! Hahaha, Ueda is so naïve, I can never imagine him like that!” laughed Maru.
“Well, how should I know!” yelled Koki feeling embarrass for thinking that way.
“Tell you what. I’ll try to find the real Ueda that ‘bought’ Junno, okay? Give me your cell phone number so that I can contact you if something come up, ” said Maru, suddenly Koki’s face lighten up, which made Maru jumped.
“Okay! You better!” yelled Koki as he quickly search his back pocket, only to see that his cell phone was crushed from his fall. “Uh…”
“HERE!” Maru suddenly said giving his own cell phone to Koki.
“Huh?”
“It was my fault your cell phone is broken… so you can have mine.” said Maru, Koki glanced at the cell phone.
“I can’t accept that! That’s a new brand!” yelled Koki, suddenly Maru grabbed Koki’s hand and placed the cell phone in his hand.
“I can always buy a new one, you can have this one so that I can contact you if something come up.” he said, Koki didn’t want to accept it, but it was the only way he could find Junno, he looked away and held on to the cell phone.
Maru’s smiled, “Don’t worry, we’ll find him.” he said, Koki suddenly, unexpectedly bowed. “Huh?”
“Thank you! Thank you!” yelled Koki, he could feel the tears in his eyes, he was so happy, Junno was going to be found, he was going to be okay.
Maru smiled and was about to pat Koki, but Koki suddenly stood up and started running, Koki hated crying, especially to a guy he didn’t even know! “JUST REMEMBER TO CALL ME!!!” he yelled not looking back, Maru couldn’t help but feel a little bit jealous of Junno , no one had ever cry for him and somehow he wanted Koki to. What was this beating in his heart?
